Last week was a way too short: the more things I am doing on board the faster time flies. This time my getting off and on board the Norwegian Epic was easy and troubleless. I was the last passenger to leave the ship with others in transit, and I got right back onboard – the first passenger for this cruise! It was amazing experience – wandering around the empty ship that looks like mint new and ready for another week of cruising… – this week promises to be fun yet peaceful. The cruising crowd is older and much less kids are traveling this week.
Looking at Daily Planner I was surprised seeing something new like Social Club for 18-25 years old that gathers at 8 pm in O’Sheehan’s That is definitely a great idea! That is what I like about Norwegian Epic – the ship adapts to needs of the cruisers on the fly.
My new cruisemate Tammy and I stopped at Solo gathering at Living Room to greet and meet other solo travellers. It is nice to see how fast changes are done in Studios – last week I suggested sign-up lists for venues, and today it is done already, so now studio cruisers can easily find someone to go to the show together. Sweet Natalie is hosting Solo events this week. With her lovely Australian accent she made the gathered cruisers feeling more comfortable and get to know other cruisers better. This time Norwegian Epic’s Solo gathering had about 30 solo cruisers – from studios and just sharing rooms. everyone was excited about the idea to meet other people and not being on the cruise all alone.
For dinner me and my friends decided to try Taste since we were dressed rather casual. Service was phenomenal – our waitress Judy Ann was so fast that it looks she can read outr mind. That is why in rush hour I prefer Taste over Manhattan – I always can rely on fast service in the first one.
Entertainment venues this evening were unusually crowded considering that the cruise wasn’t full. Slam Allen band at Fat Cats had a great performance today – the people watching the show had a great positive energy, and it is always affecting the show.
Howl At The Moon had a new piano player today – Tommy. Great voice, cute look and very artistic performance with harmonica – he brought a new fun to Headliners! Together with Rome’s talent and Mark he makes the show rock! I do think Norwegian Epic’s Howl At the Moon is the best one since players are changing fast and it keeps the show very mobile.
While all venues had a lot of the people, Bliss Lounge was practically empty, that is quite usual for the first day of the cruise.
